Airtime is a Community Discussion group, to discuss the big things that can be hard to bring into casual conversation. These issues have big effects on our day to day lives, relationships and on our community, so come along and let’s talk about the things we never talk about!

Philosopher Simone Weil proposed education should foster attention. By this she did not mean focus, but a receptive state that is open to others and ideas without fixed notions of an answer or where it might lead. Education in 2025 feels a long way from this particular idea. Its emphasis on achievement through homogenised systems and testing has emerged alongside an ADHD epidemic but what kind of attention do we have a deficit of?
Come along so we can be open and learn from each other!
