Jazz at the MMI presents: The Jimmy Cannon Quartet!

Jazz at the MMI is back for 2026 in collaboration with bass player James Macphail for a series of three very special concerts featuring a selection of the Southwest's finest musicians!

We are excited to be kicking off on 24th January when we will be joined by electrifying singer & saxophonist Jimmy Cannon!

Jimmy is an accomplished saxophonist who has toured and performed with the likes of Sir Tom Jones, The Commitments, The Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Rodriguez, Roger Taylor, and Mbawula, and has appeared on ‘The One Show’ and ITV’s ‘This Morning’.  As a singer, Jimmy has released two albums to date: ‘Alltogether’ through Proper Music and ‘All Upon a Lovely Summers’ Day’ through the F-IRE label.

Jimmy will be accompanied by a handpicked rhythm section of:

Damian Rodd - Drums

James Macphail - Bass
