Live Poetry Book Club
The Live Poetry Book Club returns to St Agnes this July.
Now in its third sold-out year, The Live Poetry Book Club is a unique summer gathering celebrating the power of live literature, poetry and performance.
Curated and hosted by writer Rebecca Tantony, each event invites audiences to experience the magic of hearing a writer bring their work to life before taking a copy home to continue the journey.
For our July session, we’re delighted to welcome acclaimed poet Shagufta K Iqbal, whose work has been described as “heart-wrenching and relatable” and praised as “a socio-political masterclass”. Alongside Shagufta, we’ll enjoy a live performance from Cornwall-based sibling music collective The Moses Brothers, known for their beautiful harmonies and distinctive sound.
Together we’ll explore and celebrate Black and mixed-heritage writers through poetry, music and conversation in a warm and welcoming community setting.
