Caretaker / Maintenance Assistant

The MMI is looking for a reliable and proactive caretaker to support the smooth running of our much-loved community building.

This is a practical, hands-on role focused on maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for everyone who uses the MMI.

Hours: 5 hours per week (spread over the week)
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Location: St Agnes MMI
Start date: ASAP

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out basic maintenance and small repairs
• Keeping communal indoor and outdoor areas clean and obstruction-free
• Undertaking regular safety and facilities checks
• Setting up and clearing down spaces for activities and events
• Monitoring basic supplies and reporting any issues

About you:

• Practical with basic DIY and maintenance skills
• Health & safety conscious with good attention to detail
• Reliable, flexible and able to work independently
• Happy to support a variety of day-to-day tasks
• Friendly and aligned with the values of the MMI

Previous caretaking or facilities experience is helpful but not essential.
